Hop-Hop Evolution: Kanji 1000

A cute and relaxing way to memorize kanji! Jumping to find the right answer will help you gain a reflexive ability to read Japanese.

*the download contains 10 levels for a total of 1000 of the most essential kanji in all! It's a huge resource that will be sure to come in handy for anyone who's serious about learning Japanese.

How To

Just press space (or tap the sun) to jump when you see the right answer. 

Tap the green answer screen to learn about the kanji: see the kunyomi, onyomi, and the English meaning.

Click anywhere outside the play window to pause. 

It only takes about 5 minutes or so to play through one stage. There's a review section to go over all the kanji presented in the stage after you reach the top. To gain reflexive reading ability, play every  day, then you'll be reading Japanese in no time. 

About

Kanji is the heart of the Japanese writing system, so they're essential to master.  To master them, you need to drill - a lot!

This game is a fun way to do that. It includes 100 beginner kanji (the download has ten levels with 1000 kanji) and you can focus on kunyomi, onyomi, or even English meanings. Simply guess the right answer and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Soon you'll start to remember without realizing it.

A great deskwarmer. If you're thinking, "I've been studying Japanese a while but I still can't remember the kanji," or "I want something actually productive to do while I'm at work," then this game is for you!

Features

Each question has five false options, and one right answer, the sequence of play is always mixed up in totally random order. 

Each stage consists of 20 questions.

The game tracks your growth (evolution) by recording your experience points each time you reach the top. 

You will be rewarded with prizes for spot-on timing and consistency. A rose is awarded each time you get two 10s in a row, and a crown is awarded if you can do that four times.

You never know what you'll evolve into - each evolution is a surprise! But each animal you evolve into is recorded in your collection on the main menu. Grow your zoo as big as you can!
